This policy explains what personal information Raufworks collects through raufworks.com and when you contact us, why we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have. Raufworks (“we”, “us”) is the controller of this information. You can reach us at info@raufworks.com or +234 816 376 7885.
We aim to meet the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, and applicable laws in the United States and Canada for the clients we serve.
Information we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, company, current website, the service you are interested in, your budget range and your message.
- Email, phone and WhatsApp: whatever you choose to share when you contact us directly, including your phone number or WhatsApp profile name.
- Client work: if we work together, the information needed to deliver the project, such as access to accounts, content and billing details.
- Technical data: our host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.
- Analytics and advertising data: only if you accept optional cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
How we use it and our legal basis
- To reply to enquiries, prepare quotes and talk about your project (steps taken at your request before a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding).
- To deliver, support and invoice the services you buy (performance of a contract).
- To keep the website secure and working (legitimate interests).
- To understand how the site is used and measure our own advertising (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation).
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not add you to a mailing list without asking first.
Who we share it with
- Hosting and email providers that store the website and deliver our email, including Hostinger.
- WhatsApp, operated by Meta, if you message us there. Meta’s own privacy policy applies to that service.
- Google, Meta and TikTok, only for analytics or ad measurement and only after you consent.
- Specialists we bring onto a project, who are bound to keep your information confidential. We tell you who they are.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
International transfers
Our clients and service providers are in several countries, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses offered by our providers.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a project are kept for up to 24 months. Client and invoice records are kept for as long as we need them for the work and for tax and legal reasons, usually six years after the project ends.
How we protect it
The site runs over HTTPS, access to our systems is restricted and protected with strong passwords, and we only keep what we need. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you and the relevant regulator about a serious breach where the law requires it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to another provider. You can withdraw consent for optional cookies at any time using the cookie settings. Email info@raufworks.com and we will respond within 30 days.
You can also complain to a data protection authority, such as the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or your local regulator. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
Children
Our services are for businesses and are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The effective date at the top shows when it was last updated.
